Dr. Ulivi is frequently quoted in the national and local print, television and Internet media because he is recognized as a spokesperson for the profession. The Financial Planner

Dr. Ulivi’s article, “ A Consumer Research Study: Personal Financial Attitudes and Behavior Related to Interest in Financial Planning ” was considered a landmark research study by the editors.

1993: "Retire Well." Written in Lotus 1-2-3. Co-developed with Harold Dilbeck, Ph.D., CPA.

Honors and Awards


1987: Winner of the Meritorious Performance and Professional Promise Award, California State University, Dominguez Hills.

1986: Recipient of the Bureau of Business Research and Service Award, California State University, Dominguez Hills.

1985: Received grant jointly with Dr. John Hinds for a seminar development "How to Choose Common Stocks Using a Personal Computer" from the California State University, Long Beach.

1982: Awarded grant by The American College, Pennsylvania for research on financial planning and the consumer.

Expert Witness Experience

January-April 2007. Dr. Ulivi was appointed an expert witness in a marital dissolution case dividing a substantial estate. He was to provide a detailed report in answer to the following question: “what is a reasonable rate of return in terms of a percentage that a retired male could expect from investing close to $10,000,000”. He was to support his conclusion with information substantiating how he arrived at his blended investment return.
